Thanks to Kits for suggesting we differentiate between the Dsus4 and Dsus2 chords.
ReplyDeleteDuring the first verses, you can clearly hear another guitar playing in the background. Why isn't that tabbed?
ReplyDelete@Dominator2007 Good question. We are actually working on the tabs for that right now, and it'll be up in the very near future. Thanks for your comment!
ReplyDeleteThe chords for part 2 are great, but the sheet music only includes part 1. I'm a pianist so I need the vocal or a lead to play for part 2. Is this possible or should I just duplicate the chords on the right hand for part 2?
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on posting the reprise as a separate PDF, I just haven't gotten around to it (busy at work, et cetera, et cetera). I can get on that.
ReplyDeleteThe reprise is basically the same as the first part, though, so if you learn that the second part should be pretty easy to pick up.
There are a lot of similarities between the two, but I can't seem to figure out just one particular part. Its the part with lyrics: "Hour by hour, ... duds must shine~~~" I've even done a spectral analysis in HD quality and I still can't seem to get it. Also the parts with each pony singing separately isn't included either, But I got that part from analysis. It is a great song and I can't wait for the reprise. Thanks much!
ReplyDeleteHey David QxBr9, I just wanted to let you know that we posted the reprise today. I hope ya find it helpful!
ReplyDeleteFor the second line of the verse (Cutting out the pattern snip by snip...) I'm pretty sure the chords, still on capo 1st, would be Em, D, G, then A repeating until the last line of the verse. Altenatively, you could also play power chords replaying the first D with an F#. Another thing I noticed was the bridge (Hour by hour...) I personally prefer playing Bm, C, G then D. As for what follows (Fluttershy you're putting me in a bind...) playing an Em, D, G, then Am sounds great. Finally it gets a bit tricky as you transition into "Apple Jacks duds must shine" I settled on Em, F#, then A.
ReplyDeleteBut maybe that's just me. This is really good either way. So in the immortal words of Fluttershy: "You rock! Woohoo!"
Very impressive! this song always reminded me of something Barbra Streisand did. Just how the words fit into the song. The rhythm is very similar
ReplyDeleteThat's because it's based off of "Putting it Together." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uwV1Wf8tUo
DeleteWhat happened to the spacing? O_o
DeleteNow this isnpires me to play guitar again!
ReplyDeleteWhen I listen to this on youtube it actually sounds like it's in Eb maj, not D maj - thoughts?
ReplyDeleteYou should put a capo on the first fret as was suggested at the very beginning of this article. You'll be in a correct key then.
