Raise This Barn Resources

Piranhaplant is a regular here at Everypony Sings, and always does a great job on music resources. This time around, he shared some for Raise This Barn.

There are Raise This Barn chords and sheet music. Give them a try on piano, guitar, or whatever instrument you like. I'm certain they'll be useful.

Many thanks to Piranhaplant!

Babs Seed Played on a Nokia

Well, I'd heard that Nokia phones were indestructible, but no one told me they were also musical instruments. Little did I know that creative people were out there creating pony music on old cell phones.

Cat333Pokémon has expanded my horizons by using Nokia 3595 to play Babs Seed. It is musical awesomeness. You should definitely give it a listen!

You can also find Cat333Pokémon on Youtube if you want to find more videos. Thanks for sharing, Cat333!

Original by Vakanz

Vakanz is a budding pony musician who has shared a few songs with us in the past. His latest is called MHEAH. It's a fun little piece, and he wanted to share it with Everypony Sings.

Thanks, Vakanz! We always appreciate your contributions.

Title Theme Goes Mandolin

The mandolin is an awesome instrument. Anyone who plays it knows how great it is. And anyone who plays mandolin (and likes My Little Pony) will be thrilled about our latest resource.

A fan who goes by Dyrilby sent in mandolin tab for the Title Theme. The tab is in Guitar Pro format, and you can find it here (you'll need Guitar Pro or a similar program to open it). You should check it out! Princess Celestia would want you to.

Thanks, Dyrilby!

Raise This Piano! (Er... Barn)

We got a very cool piano cover of Raise This Barn from a pony fan who goes by (fittingly) FimFan14.

You can listen to FimFan14 play the piano version of Raise this Barn in the video. Then you can check out a midi or play it yourself from the sheet music.

FimFan14 can be found on Youtube and DeviantArt. Many thanks to him for sharing his musical talents!

Bass Tabs + Covers from Master Eto

Master Eto is one of the many talented fans who likes to contribute to Everypony Sings. Recently, he shared two great covers and bass tabs for both of them.

The first (which you can hear in the embedded video) is for Raise This Barn. The bass tab for that song is here. The second is for The Perfect Stallion, or the Hearts and Hooves Day song. You can listen to it or check out the tab.

I want to wish everypony a happy Hearth's Warming Eve! EPS will be taking the day off tomorrow, but we'll be back on the 26th.

Original from Dimondium

We have a great team of talented fans here at Everypony Sings. One of the more recent additions is Dimondium, though he has shared plenty of music with us even before he was added to the team.

Well, Dimondium has continued to work on musical projects, and he has a great new original composition called Cerulean and Fuchsia were Made for Each Other. It's a duet inspired by Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. I enjoyed it and hope you will, too!

Orchestral Babs

It looks like Babs Seed's popularity is sticking around—or, at least, the song's popularity is. Submissions keep coming in!

Golden Glissando made a fantastic orchestral arrangement of Babs Seed. It sounds amazing. The instrumentation is well done, and I couldn't help but sing along. Give it a listen!

Thanks to Golden Glissando for sharing!

Raise This Barn (Piano Transcription)

I'm glad folks are having so much fun with Applejack's first big song. It is a lot of fun, and it grows on me every time I listen to it.

The resources are starting to roll in, too! DJDelta0 shared a really impressive piano transcription of the song. I am honestly amazed that he did such a great job in such a short amount of time. Just listen to it already! You can also check out sheet music and an mp3 version.

Candy Coda wants y'all to know that the Season 3 music page will be updated with the new song tomorrow.

Raise This Barn!

Are you getting together with family for the holidays? Is there a lot of stress and tension and anxiety around your family gatherings? Have you considered having a barn-raising?

Well, if you want to follow the Apple family example and have a good ol'-fashioned barn raising, then you'll need a good ol'-fashioned barn raising song. And Yttdori has helpfully shared some chords so your fiddler and banjo player can give you the musical accompaniment you need. Thanks, Yttdori!

Video Tutorials from DrSentenial

DrSentenial, who has shared music with the site before, is a very talented guy who makes pony piano tutorials. They are a fantastic resource if you are looking for something new to play on your keyboard!

DrSentenial has a new series of videos that he has shared with us: Making Cupcakes, Pinkie's Singing Telegram, the Welcome Song, and Ballad of the Crystal Empire. DrSentenial's Youtube channel also has videos of him just playing the songs without the tutorials. Even if you're not a pianist, you should still give them a watch. They are well done!

Everypony probably has seen by now that there was a new song this morning. There will be more on that a bit later today.

Another Babs Cover!

We have another great cover of Babs Seed. This one is from EthePianoMan, who has shared a few of his covers with Everypony Sings before. As you might guess from his name, EthePianoMan is a really talented piano player. I love the energy he brings to this song. It's a lot of fun!

You can listen to EthePianoMan's version of Babs Seed in the video. I hope you like it as much as I did!

Babs Seed: Floppy Drive Version

I never, ever get tired of Dvixer's floppy drive covers. The talent he has to turn outdated computer equipment into musical instruments is just awesome.

And, of course, I love the Babs Seed song. So I am pleased to let you know that Dvixer has shared a floppy drive version of Babs Seed. Floppy drives somehow capture the rhythm of the song perfectly. This cover sounds fantastic. Enjoy!

Zebra the Bloom by The Runner

The Runner has shared some great original compositions with Everypony Sings in the past. Now The Runner is back with a piece called Zebra the Bloom.

Zebra the Bloom is one in a series of jazz songs inspired by the Cutie Mark Crusaders. It's very relaxing and peaceful. I could listen to it all evening. I hope you enjoy it, too!

Thanks to The Runner for sharing!

Originals by Cyphers Wolf

I love the creativity in the MLP:FiM fan community! A pony fan who goes by Cyphers Wolf shared some of his original music with us and asked if we would share it with the community here at Everypony Sings.

Cyphers Wolf does a great job with his songs. I particularly enjoyed Double the Fun, which is about (who else?) Luna. That song is in the video. You can find his other songs over at his Youtube channel or Bandcamp.

Thanks to Cyphers Wolf for sharing his songs!

76 Buckets of Oats on the Wall...

Hey everypony! Are you still singing 99 Buckets of Oats? How many verses have you gotten through so far?

Well, Rusty has submitted a Sweetie Belle-approved resource for all your camp song needs! There's nothing better for camp songs than a guitar, and Rusty's chords will allow you to play along through all 99 verses.

Thanks, Rusty!

99 Buckets of Oats!

More fans are responding to my plea for 99 Buckets of Oats resources! Master Eto shared a bass tab and demonstration video for what is sure to be the best song of Season Three.

You can find the tab here, and watch Master Eto play it in the embedded video. Then you can play it yourself on your next camping trip!

Master Eto also shared his cover of Smile, which you can find here. Thanks to him for sharing his talents!

Crystal Ballad Teaching Video

Do you like the Ballad of the Crystal Ponies? Of course you do! Do you want to play it on the bass? Well, if so, you are in luck. PureAFM shared tab and a teaching video so you can learn how to play it yourself on bass guitar.

Watch the video to see PureAFM playing the song, with a helpful close-up so you can see what frets to use. You can also find the tab here, if that's easier for you to follow.

Many thanks to Pure AFM for sharing this video!

8-Bit Winter Wrap Up and Oats

Hampshire Brony is back with some more 8-bit deliciousness. First off, there is Winter Wrap Up, which you can listen to in the embedded video. You can also listen to 99 Oats on the Wall via this link here. I challenge you to listen to it all the way through!

All of this music is wonderfully fun. If you recall, these pieces are written for the ZX Spectrum. Pony music sounds strangly good on it.

Thanks for sharing again, Hampshire Brony.

More Babs Seed!

We got a very cool new kind of resource today—pony karaoke! A fan who goes by Cat333Pokémon made a great midi for Babs Seed, and did a karaoke video so you can sing along. It's a lot of fun, give it a try!

You can also download the midi or an mp3 of the song. And don't forget to visit Cat333Pokémon on Youtube.

Many thanks to Cat333Pokémon for sharing these resources!

Title Theme by PrincessWishes

A pony fan named PrincessWishes shared a new resource for the title theme. She made a great sheet music transcription of the theme song. No matter how many times I listen to it, the title theme still makes me feel happy inside.

You can find the sheet music on Noteflight and give it a listen—or try playing it yourself! You can also visit PrincessWishes over on Youtube.

Thanks, PrincessWishes, for sharing your musical talents!

Oats on the Wall!

After I heard the song in Sleepless in Ponyville, I thought to myself, "I hope someone makes sheet music for this. That would be brilliant!"  And Teslahead made that wish come true.

Teslahead pointed out that he didn't included lyrics in the music, but you shouldn't have any problems figuring it out. At the very least, you should have it all memorized by the end.

Start singing!

The Coconeru Has Been Doubled!

I love MLP:FiM. I also love Adventure Time. So when the awesome Coconeru made a mashup FiM/Adventure Time/Friendship is Witchcraft song, it pretty much made my day.

Listen to Pony Cupcakes in the embedded video. It makes me strangely hungry for bacon, for some reason.

But that's not all, because Coconeru also sent in a cover of Anthropology, which you can find here. (You can also check out the original!) Double the Coconeru songs means the fun has been doubled!

Chords and Sheet Music for Babs Seed

Everypony must be really scared of Babs Seed (or maybe they feel bad for her!), since they keep sharing music resources for her. The latest resource comes from our friend Piranhaplant, who sent in sheet music and chords for Babs' song.

You can find the chords here, and the sheet music here. I hope everyone is having fun singing along to this song!

Speaking of recent songs, how come no one has shared resources for the song from this past Saturday's episode? Where is the Sweetie Belle love?!

Babs Tabs

A pony fan who goes by Master Eto shared a new resource for Babs Seed. If you play bass guitar and want to play along with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, you need to check it out!

You can find the tab here. Also make sure to check out Master Eto playing the tab himself in the video. If you want to follow his work, you can find him on Youtube.

Many thanks to Master Eto for sharing a great resource!

Forum Time!

Well, it was only a matter of time but we now have a forum! Here you can talk ponies with us, request collaborations and sheet music, showcase any music or art you may have done, and so much more!

You can find the site right here! We'd love to have you guys.

Dance to the Carol

Hearth's Warming is coming up, and there is no better way to celebrate than listening to music. Ruby Shores shared this piece that combines everybody's favorite pony carol with a dance vibe. You can listen to this wonderfully fun song over on Soundcloud. It'll warm your heart!

Ruby Shores is particularly looking for constructive feedback on this piece. You can leave comments here or over on the Soundcloud page itself. Thanks for sharing, Ruby Shores.

Hush Now, Quiet Now on Piano

Here is a little treat for all of the piano players out there. PrincessWishes put together this piano transcription of Fluttershy's part of Hush Now, Quiet now. It is an absolutely beautiful piece of music with a lot of elegance.

You can read and listen to the sheet music over here. You can also visit PrincessWishes' Youtube channel. Thanks for sharing your musical talents, PrincessWishes.

I had forgotten how wonderful the music from season one is!

Hampshire Brony and 8-Bit Music

If you're anything like me, you have a nostalgic love for just about everything 8-bit. All of those simple tonalities have a way of really letting the melody shine through. So needless to say, I think combining 8-bit and ponies is just about the best thing ever!

So I am very grateful to Hampshire Brony for sharing this collection of 8-bit music that he authored. It's all coded for the ZX Spectrum, and it could actually play on the original hardware. If you don't have one sitting around, just check out Hampshire Brony's Youtube channel. It really is great stuff!

Thanks for sharing, Hampshire Brony.

Listen to All the Chiptunes!

SaxyBrony (aka Sonata Silencer) is one of the newest members of the Everypony Sings team. He's also a very talented musician! Right now, he's working on a chiptunes album of pony music, My Little Famicom. He wanted to share two of the songs from that album.

The first (in the embedded video) is Winter Wrap Up. The second, which you can find here, is for At the Gala. These are both awesome songs, and the 8-bit style sounds great!

In other news, SaxyBrony is looking for a banjo player to help him with a project. If you play the banjo, you rock! You should email him at saxybrony<at>everyponysings<dot>com.

Chords for Home

MandoPony is a very talented fan of MLP. One of his original songs, inspired by Zecora, is called Home. It's a really charming and sweet piece of music. You can listen to it in the embedded video.

Well, another pony fan who goes by DCane wrote chords for Home and shared them with us. If you want to play this song yourself, check out these chords and give it a try!

Thanks to DCane for sharing this resource!

My Head's So Fluffy!

A young pony fan by the name of Vakanz has shared his work here at Everypony Sings a few times before. He shared a new song with us called My Head's So Fluffy.

This is a goofy and funny original song. And it fits the ponies of My Little Pony—after all, they are rather fluffy! You can listen to the song here.

Many thanks to Vakanz for sharing his song!

Babs Seed Chords—What We Gonna Do?!

We have some new chords for Babs Seed! These chords are from TheBluesBrony, and he did a great job on them. If you're looking to play this awesome song yourself, check out this resource!

You can find the chords here. As I said, they look really good. I can't get enough of this awesome song, I'm listening to it on loop as I write this post. ^_^

Thanks, TheBluesBrony!

Scootaloo Slam Those Drums Into Oblivion

One of the (many) great moments from last week's episode was Scootaloo's epic drum solo during the CMC induction ceremony. Coconeru, in his usual awesome way, made a Scootadrum tribute song, Scootaloo Slam Those Drums Into Oblivion.

It's really well done—and hilarious. Coconeru did a great job on this song, so check it out! As always, you can visit Coconeru on Youtube to find his many other videos.

Many thanks for sharing this song, Coconeru!

Babs Seed Gets Blocky

Is there anything better than Minecraft note block songs? I submit that there is not. Well, okay, maybe the only thing better than Minecraft note block songs are Minecraft pony note block songs, and Pastel Ink has a special talent for making them.

Pastel Ink shared a Minecraft version of Babs Seed, and it is totally spot on. It sounds perfect. You should definitely give it a listen! You can also visit Pastel Ink on Youtube and see more of these great videos.

Awoken Cover Visualization

One of the things I love about the MLP:FiM fan community is how collaborative it is. Here's a great example: a few days ago, we posted a cover by DJDelta0 of a song, Awoken, originally written by WoodenToaster. Tonight, we have a visualization of DJDelta0's cover, created by WeimTime.

WeimTime does an awesome job with these visualizations, I always enjoy watching them. I think you will, too—take a look!

Many thanks, WeimTime, as always!

Ballad Tab!

Jepp is a frequent contributor who does great work on guitar tab. This time, he's shared a tab for the Ballad of the Crystal Ponies (aka Ballad of the Crystal Empire). I'm sure this will be a valuable resource for anyone who wants to play the ballad on guitar!

You can find the tab here. Jepp also shared a midi and a wav file for his version of the song. He did point out that there may be some slight quality issues with the midi, but the wav shouldn't have any problems. Give them a listen!

Cutie Mark Crusaders Go Crusading on Piano

The Cutie Mark Crusaders Go Crusading might very well be my favorite piece of background music from the show. There is just something about this melody that is so darn catchy. So I feel very fortunate DJDelta0 has arranged it for piano! It is a brilliant piece of work.

You can listen to it in the video, or download the sheet music over here. Now go out and have an adventure!

Thanks for sharing your musical talents, DJDelta0.

Chords by Rusty

It's been a while since we've heard from Rusty, but the chords he submits are always excellent. So I'm happy to say that Rusty has returned with two new sets of chords to share!

The first set of chords is for Hush Now, Quiet Now. That song never gets old, and it's so much fun to play and sing along with. The second set of chords is for the Singing Telegram. Play it and imagine how awesome it would be to go to one of Pinkie Pie's parties!

Thanks, Rusty!

New Team Members: Dimondium and Sonata Silencer

Today is indeed a very exciting day! I am pleased to welcome two more amazing pony fans to the Everypony Sings staff: Dimondium and Sonata Silencer.

Dimondium has been very activite on this site, and if you have spent some time around here, you have probably seen his work before. He is an extremely talented guy who does a lot of work with transcription into a variety of instrumentation. You can find his work all over the site.

Sonata Silencer, who also goes by SaxyBrony or Bey-Heart, writes some truly love sheet music and original compositions. He has ton and tons of musical skill. His most recent piece of work is this arrangement of Babs Seed for ocarina, which is pretty freaking awesome.

On a different note, I hope everyone is enjoying season three. I know I'm loving it!

Awoken Cover by DJDelta0

DJDelta0 did a great piano cover of WoodenToaster's song Awoken. You can listen to the original here, or listen to DJDelta0's version in the embedded video.

I really like this cover. It gives a different feel to the song, but it's very well done and well worth giving it a listen. It's a lot of fun!

Many thanks for sharing, DJDelta0!

A Banner with Christmas Hats!

December is fast approaching, and that means it's time to start hanging up the Christmas decorations. A fantastic guy, who goes by Yam online, made this banner for us. I am extremely excited about it!

This banner has two of my favorite ponies, and just when you think they can't get any cuter, Yam has them in Christmas hats. I can't look at it without smiling; I'm pretty much in love with it.

Thanks to Yam for making the banner. You can visit his Deviant Art page over here.

More Babs Seed Chords!

We have another great set of chords to share for today's new song. Yttdori sent in chords that he worked out for Babs Seed. I'm excited to start learning to play this song myself! Having all these resources is so awesome (read in your best Rainbow Dash voice, of course).

Find Yttdori's chords here. If you have chords or another resource of your own to share, send us an email! We will gladly share it here on the site.

Babs Seed and Smile Chords

Our day continues with some more great resources for Babs Seed. Anuenueheihei wrote out these chords, and they are done extremely well. Sit down with your guitar, piano, harpsichord, or whatever it is you own, and give it a try.

While you're at it, check out these chords that Anuenueheihei wrote for Smile. I think you will enjoy playing them; Anuenueheihei has done a beautiful job with them.

Thank you so much for sharing your musical talents, Anuenueheihei!

Babs Seed: She's a Bad, Bad Seed

If you watched this morning's episode, you saw the fun new song from the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Babs Seed. She might be a bad, bad seed... but the song is all good.

The very talented brony community has already started sending us music resources for Babs Seed. We'll be adding the song to the Season 3 page today and posting submissions in the order they're received. Our first resource is a piano version of the song submitted by DJDelta0. You can listen to it in the video, or download sheet music or a midi file. Thanks, DJDelta0!

Contributors Wanted: Friendship Lyrical Project

Dimondium is one of the most faithful contributors here at Everypony Sings, and he has a new project in mind. He wrote a piano concerto called Friendship (which you can watch in the video), and now he wants to make it into a vocal piece.

If you want to help imagine lyrics and record a vocal line for Friendship, Dimondium is looking for contributors! Check out this document for more information. You can contact Dimondium through his email address (listed in the doc) if you have questions or want to participate.

Hopefully, we can share the final version once it's completed. I look forward to hearing how it turns out!

We're on Twitter!

Yep, not only do we have a Facebook, but I'm in the process of making an official Twitter account for the site (I still do have my own Twitter, but that's not the point). If you want to follow us, you can find the link here! It's still a bit small, but it is brand new, after all. If you want to follow my personal Twitter, though, then go to this link.

Also, did you guys see the new song for tomorrow? I'm looking forward to the music you guys will, without a doubt, send in. It's a bit kitschy, but I love it. (Kitschy is my thing, if you haven't noticed.)

Sombra's Darkness

Teslahead is one of our frequent contributors. In honor of the season three premier, Teslahead shared an original composition called Sombra's Darkness.

I think this original song does a great job capturing Sombra in musical form (kind of like capturing him inside a ice shelf?). It's definitely worth giving it a listen, and we're grateful to Teslahead for sharing it.

For those to whom it applies, Happy Thanksgiving!

Cloud Belle

Guys, I love Sweetie Belle. She is the marshmallowiest pony. She's adorable.

... But what if she were also chilling and relaxing on a cloud, Rainbow Dash-style? Well, a piece of fan art depicting just that inspired TheRunner to make a piece of music called Cloud Belle. It's charming and laid back, just like cloud-Sweetie-Belle. It's really enjoyable. Give it a listen!

Thanks, TheRunner!

The Silver Dragon

Amythistfire shared this charming piece of music, called The Silver Dragon, that he wrote for the Super Smash Ponies project. It is a lighthearted song with a bright melody that will be stuck in your head for hours after you listen to it. The instrumentation is also quite nice; I can definitely imagine this playing in the background of a video game.

You can listen to it over on Soundcloud. Thanks for sharing, Amythistfire!

(Why a picture of an animal tea party? Well, why not!)

Find a Pet Full Score by Audimag

I am very excited to share an amazing post with you all. A wonderful pony fan named Matt (a.k.a. audimag) wrote out this full score of Find a Pet. It is an incredibly detailed piece of work, and it is brilliantly done from top to bottom. Matt put many hours of work into this project, and his efforts definitely show.

I would recommend everyone check it out. It even includes a number of helpful notes at the beginning.

You can also listen to the product of Matt's work over on the right. Many thanks to you, Matt!

Vinyl Scratch/Octavia Craziness

Coconeru shared a new piece with us, and it's... well... to say that it's hyper would be an understatement. It's called Thanks Vinyl, Thank You Octavia—and you'll just have to watch the video to get the full effect.

This song is definitely a lot of fun, and the little dance they're doing is downright hypnotic.  It's cool seeing Coconeru make original songs in all kinds of different musical styles, and this electronic piece is a perfect example of what a talented pony Coconeru is.

Sombra Suite

Ivory Brony has been working on a great original composition called the Sombra Suite. Apparently he started it before Season 3 actually aired, based on the preview clip that was leaked. In any case, it's a great piece of music. I think it really captures the ominous nature of Sombra as he's portrayed in the show.

Listen to the Sombra Suite here. You should also check out Ivory Brony's Soundcloud channel to see his other work!

WeimTime Synthesia

From time to time, pony fan WeimTime sends us his synthesia videos—visualizations that match up to various pony songs. It's always a lot of fun to see his work, and he does a great job.

Today, we have two videos from WeimTime. The first, to the left, is a visualization of the original song September by the super-awesome The Living Tombstone. (Watch the original version here.) The second is based on the original song Clouds by Omnipony (and you can watch that original here). Thanks, WeimTime!

Of Derpy Hooves

We got an email from a guy who calls himself Catfood McFly (amazing name, by the way) who's used the resources on Everypony Sings and wanted to give something back. What he has to share is a Derpy Hooves alt-rock ballad. It's awesome.

Give Of Derpy Hooves a listen! You can also visit Catfood McFly on Youtube, and check out another original song he did called All Ponies Must Be Perfect.

Once in a Lulamoon

It's always awesome to get a submission from Coconeru. If you were wondering what he's has been up to (he hasn't sent anything our way in quite a while!), it turns out he's working on an EP. But he took a break long enough to send us a Trixie-themed original song, Once in a Lulamoon.

This song is really charming and kind of sad. Poor Trixie... maybe someday you'll learn not to be so rude to everypony.

Anyway, give the song a listen! And visit Coconeru on Youtube!

Failure Song Reprise MIDI

Hey everypony! We've got another great resource based on the reprise at the end of this week's premiere episodes. KitRifty, who has shared his excellent work here at Everypony Sings before, worked up a midi for the Failure Song Reprise.

You can find the midi here, or there's an mp3. The video lets you listen to the midi before you download. You can also check out KitRifty's Youtube channel.

Many thanks for a job well done, KitRifty!

Season 3 Resources from Piranhaplant

Piranhaplant is a fairly regular contributor to Everypony Sings and always does a fantastic job on music resources. Tonight, we have sheet music and chords from both of the Season 3 premier songs. I'm sure lots of fans will be excited to use these resources.

For the Failure Song: sheet music and chords
For the Ballad of the Crystal Ponies: sheet music and chords

Thanks to Piranhaplant for sharing this great work!

With a Sister Chords

MandoPony is a very talented brony. One of his great original songs is called With a Sister, inspired by the Sisterhooves Social episode. MandoPony did a fantastic job writing and recording that song—and you can listen to it in the video.

But if you want to play it yourself, then DCane is here to help! DCane wrote chords for With a Sister so that other fans could play along as well. Find the chords here and give them a try!

Love is in Bloom for Concert Band

Dimondium is one heck of a talented pony. His sheet music arrangements are always awesome, and this one is no exception. Dimondium wrote a concert band version of Love is in Bloom that sounds great.

You can watch the video to hear the arrangement, or you can download the sheet music to try it yourself. Dimondium did note that he transposed the song from its original key of F#maj to Ebmaj.

Well done as always, Dimondium!

A Lesson in Synthpop

I'm absolutely in love with this piece of music from EPS team member Power Chord. Maybe it's because I love the Perfect Stallion. Maybe it's because I have a strange affinity for 80's pop. Or maybe it's just because Cheerilee looks freaking adorable in leg warmers. In any case, you should give it a listen; it'll make your ears happy.

Like just about everypony else, I am super excited that season 3 has started up. I'm looking forward to new plot lines, fun characters, and new music. We have some fun weeks ahead!

Failure Song Reprise Chords

One of the fun things about today's episodes was getting to hear the Failure Song Reprise. Even though the other songs had been unveiled a while ago, we still got some new music in the premier.

If you're itching to play this song, Kurayami has your back. Kurayami shared some great chords for the reprise. Break out your guitar—or other chord-based instrument—and give it a try!

Thanks, Kurayami, for sharing this great resource!

Two Covers: The Failure Song and Smile

A pony fan who goes by EthePianoMan over on Youtube sent in two great vocal/piano covers of MLP:FiM songs.

The first is The Failure Song, which finally aired this morning. You can watch it in the video. The other is Smile, Smile, Smile, and you can find it here. EthePianoMan is a very talented guy, so these covers are well done. Make sure to give them a listen!

Thanks to EthePianoMan!

Ballad of the Crystal Ponies Sheet Music

After a ridiculously long wait, we are finally just a few hours away from the start of season three. Praise Celestia! In honor of the new season, we have a great piano arrangement of the Ballad of the Crystal Ponies from Bey-Heart (aka SaxyBrony).

Bey-Heart did a great job on this arrangement. I'm sure the sheet music will be appreciated by the piano players out there. Give it a try to celebrate the return of ponies!

Thanks, Bey-Heart, for sharing this resource.

B.B.B.F.F. Acoustic Tab

B.B.B.F.F. remains one of my favorite songs from season 2. It's so sweet and charming, and I love to sing along to it. So I was thrilled to get to listen to an amazing acoustic version of this song by a brony who goes by Metalmaster32.

Seriously, give this one a listen, because it's beautiful. And even better, Metalmaster32 sent in the tab for this version, so you can learn to play it yourself on guitar! Many thanks to Metalmaster32 for sharing this great resource.

Twilight Sparkle's Theme: Methodical

One of the awesome things about MLP:FiM is the really strong and diverse personalities of the characters in the show. It's not surprising that people think up musical themes for each of them.

Well, DJDelta0 wrote a theme for Twilight Sparkle called Methodical. It's supposed to represent the way Twilight might think in class or when she's studying. I think DJDelta0 did an amazing job on this piece—I really like it! Give it a listen in the video, or download it.

Thanks, DJDelta0!

Halloween in Equestria

In honor of All Hallow's Eve, Dvixer sent in a Halloween-themed pony remix. This song is really well done and suits its holiday (whether that's Halloween or Nighmare Night) perfectly. Many thanks to Dvixer for sharing it!

Check out Halloween in Equestria in the video. You can download the song if you click here.

In other news, less than a week until season three! Finally!

Album idea

Hey guys, it's been a while. Anyway, I am working as the main coordinator for a pony music album. Now you guys who are regulars know how much I adore 80s music, and that's exactly what this album will be about: 80s styled pony covers/originals. I'm currently looking for participants to make this a reality, as I'm still in the planning stages, but I want a rough estimate of people who want to give this a shot. That said, here are some guidelines I'd like to propose:

-Covers of official MLP songs and fandom songs are accepted as well as originals, but they must be in an 80s style. This includes any genre from the decade (Glam rock, new wave, old school rap, etc.)

-You can do more than one song if you want, but I'd like to have at the most 25-30 tracks (Depending on how many Bandcamp will allow for a single release and on the participants).

-If you do an original, try to keep it PG-13 if it's a bit risque/violent. There is no limit to what you can write a song about, but don't get too vulgar or it won't be accepted.

-There is no due-date yet, since this is still the planning stages. I will keep everyone updated on the guidelines.

If anyone's interested, contact me on Skype (Name: mr.generic), email me at crow30002003@yahoo.com, or at my YouTube page linked in the About Us section. I look forward to your replies!

Find a Pet Full Score in the Works

Hey everypony! Audimag sent in some work he's doing on a full score of the Find a Pet song. He was not sure if people would have use for a full, printable score. Candy Coda encouraged him, and Audimag's moving forward on the project. I hope folks will enjoy it!

In the meantime, you can see what Audimag has done so far. Check it out in the video—you can see the start of a score. It will be an amazing resource when it's finished.

Thanks for sharing, Audimag!

Love is in Bloom Full Instrumentation

Hey everypony! We have a great resource to share tonight. This one comes from Obliterador, who is a first-time contributor to the site. He sent in a really nice version of Love is in Bloom.

Obliterador used some of the midis that had already been shared here at Everypony Sings to make a full instrumentation midi of the great season-ending number. He did a great job, and the midi sounds perfect. I was singing along as I listened to it.

Thanks, Obliterador!

Scootaloo's Wings Cover

Have you heard the fan song Scootaloo's Wings by JackleApp? You can listen to it here. But this post is not about JackleApp's song, it's about a really nice cover Jepp did of it.

You can listen to Jepp's cover of Scootaloo's Wings over on Soundcloud. It's well done and very mellow. Jepp did a great job. Thanks, Jepp!

(I also owe Jepp an apology. Candy Coda told him this post would go up a while ago, but I failed to follow-through. My bad!)

This is Whining!

Vakanz, who shared a song with us a while back, has sent in another submission. His song is called This is Whining, and it's dubsteppy. It's a lot of fun.

Give it a listen in the video! Perhaps Rarity could have used dubstep to defeat the Diamond Dogs? I would watch that episode.

Thanks to Vakanz for sharing his music with us!

Bronies, Ponies, and Loneliness

Dimondium is a regular contributor here at Everypony Sings, and he always does a great job. So we're excited to share that he has a very ambitious project in mind... and he's seeking help.

You see, Dimondium wants to do a massive marching band arrangement of MLP:FiM music to be played at his school. We're talking about 150 musicians all playing pony music together. It would be an amazing thing to see.

You can help to make it happen! Check out the details from Dimondium or contact him (his email is in the document).

Percussionshy

It's been a while since we've heard from PercussiveBrony here at Everypony Sings, but I think it was worth the wait! PercussiveBrony does amazing work creating all-percussion versions of pony music.

Percussionshy is a medley of all of Fluttershy's big musical numbers—Hush Now, Quiet Now, her verse in At the Gala, So Many Wonders, and Find a Pet—done completely with percussion instruments. It is nothing short of awesome. Check it out!

Well done, PercussiveBrony!

Floppy Success Song

Dvixer is at it again—turning out an awesome floppy disk rendition of a pony song. This time, it's the Failure Success Song, done on eight floppy disk drives. Give it a listen!

Maybe it's because I was born in the 80s (and I do remember using floppy disk drives), but these originals/covers that Dvixer does give me a great dose of happy nostalgia.

Thanks as always, Dvixer!

Guitar Lessons from Piecrust8

Are you a guitar player—or do you wish you were? Do you want to play along with MLP:FiM songs, but can't quite do it? Well, Piecrust8 may be able to help you with his guitar lesson videos.

In the video to the left, you can see how to play the Title Theme. If you're interested in the Cutie Mark Crusaders theme, there's a lesson for that one, too. Keep an eye on Piecrust8's Youtube channel, he may do more lessons in the future.

Thanks, Piecrust8! These are great resources!

Crystal Empire Theme

DJDelta0 shared an original composition he made for the mysterious Crystal Ponies: a Crystal Empire Theme. As he says in his description, "I always pictured a 'crystal empire' to be grand, beautiful, and awe-inspiring. This is the music that I would associate with it."

This piece is definitely grand, beautiful, and awe-inspiring. Give it a listen! I think it's a great theme song for the Crystal Ponies. Well done, DJDelta0!

Friendship Fugue

Have you been thinking to yourself, "Why isn't there more baroque-style pony music on Everypony Sings?" No? That's weird. In any case, we have some baroque-style pony music, thanks to Etudify!

Etudify wrote a fugue on the MLP:FiM Title Theme. It is a beautiful and truly charming piece of music. I really enjoyed listening to it, and I think you will too! Give it a listen in the video. If you want to try playing it yourself, check out the sheet music!

Thanks, Etudify!

Brony Choir

Reedmace Star brought to our attention an invitation for folks to sing in a Brony Choir. NerdyAslin is the one putting out the call—you can hear all about it here. The first project they're tackling is The Heart Carol, and they're using Reedmace Star's arrangement.

Since NerdyAslin make a (joking) request for an arrangement of Pinkie Pie's Welcome Song, Reedmace Star made a (joking) response. Here it is, in four-part glory: Welcome Song sheet music. There's also a midi and a Lilypond version, and the video contains the very cute visualization.

Banished

DXsmiley shared an original composition called Banished that he wrote with Pixel8ed72. Banished is all about Luna/Nightmare Moon. If you've ever wondered what she thought about for those thousand years, then this is the song for you!

You can find DXsmiley on Youtube and Bandcamp, and you can also find Pixel8ed72 on Youtube and Bandcamp as well.

DXsmiley, you and Pixel8ed72 did a great job on this piece. Thank you for sharing it!

Chrysa...neru?

Just when you thought Chrysalis couldn't get any more intimidating, Coconeru had to go write her a new theme song (and record a colt version, of course). His piece, The Changeling Conquest, follows the tune of This Day Aria but with all-new, extra-dramatic lyrics.

Listen to the song in the video, or Chrysalis will steal your loved ones in the night. Seriously. That will happen.

(Thanks, Coconeru!)

Cutie Mark Remix

A young brony who goes by Vakanz shared a cool remix of the Cutie Mark Crusaders Theme. It's pretty awesome—I particularly liked the way the music bounced back and forth between my left and right speakers. Long story short, it's a lot of fun.

You can listen to this CMC Remix here. Many thanks to Vakanz for sharing his very first remix with Everypony Sings!

Failure Success Song Visualization

Another great submission has come our way from WeimTime. WeimTime does visualizations and midi versions of pony songs. The latest one he's tackled is I Wasn't Prepared For This, aka The Failure Success Song.

Check out the visualization in the video. I always find these to be a fun way to see the music of My Little Pony in a different way. There's also a midi file that you can use for other pony music projects.

Thanks as always to WeimTime for sharing his talents!

Saxophone Music Bomb from Zebrasftw1

A talented pony fan who goes by zebrasftw1 on Youtube (check out her channel!) has sent in a whole bunch of sheet music, most of it for alto sax. I'm going to do this in bullets to make it clearer:

-Becoming Popular: two versions, one for alto sax and one for any C instrument.
-Cupcakes for alto sax.
-Theme Song for alto sax.
-Parasprite Polka for alto sax.
-Smile for alto sax.
-Winter Wrap Up for alto sax.
-This Day Aria, a duet for flute and alto sax.

You can listen to the Aria duet in the video, and you can find several other recordings at zebrasftw1's Youtube channel. Many thanks for these great resources!

Pony Music Goes BBC Micro

Pop quiz: What's a BBC Micro? Well, it's an old 8-bit computer from Britain back in the 1980s. Similarly to folks who have done pony music in MarioPaint or on floppy disk drives, a talented fan has brought pony music to the BBC Micro. His name is Loganberry, and these songs are awesome.

He's done two covers so far: the Title Theme and Smile. You can find the Title Theme here, and Smile is in the embedded video. Both are really well done—Loganberry did a great job. Keep and eye on his Youtube channel for future videos in this format.

Equestrian Idiot

A brony who goes by Dyrilby on Youtube, along with a friend, made a parody/original song called Equestrian Idiot. It's a parody, of course, of American Idiot by Green Day. As I said yesterday, everything is better when it's ponified. Give it a listen!

From what Dyrilby told us, he's planning to make an album. Not sure if it will be all parodies like this one, but he wanted to promote his stuff before he releases the album.

Thanks for sharing your parody, Dyrilby!

New Journey Remix by Dvixer

Seriously, I can't get enough of pony techno/dubstep/electronica/remixes. Adding ponies to any genre of music makes it cooler, right?

Well, Dvixer seems to think so. He did a great job remixing a song by the name of New Journey (original here) into a awesome ponified version. It is a ton of fun! Give it a listen in the video at right.

Thanks, Dvixer!

Marching Rainbow Factory and Luna's Song

Teslahead is one of the many frequent contributors here at Everypony Sings. I always enjoy seeing what he had been up to! Tonight, we have two songs from Teslahead to share.

The first is a marching band arrangement of the fan song Rainbow Factory. There are definitely not enough marching bands out there playing pony music. Get on that, guys!

The second is actually a revision of a piece of music Teslahead did earlier, called Luna's Song. I think he's done a great job with it—give it a listen!

Cutie Mark Crusaders Into C Minor and D Minor

Dimondium shared two new versions of the Cutie Mark Crusaders theme—transposed into C Minor and D Minor. I'll let him explain (since you can't beat his enthusiasm):
I took it up to C Minor, or only 3 flats, and arranged it for concert band (obviously fixing the god awful singing into a suitable key and harmony). It made it sound suitably go-get-them. But that wasn't it.

I recently took it up another 2 semitones, to D Minor, and OH MY GOSH IT SUDDENLY SOUNDS SO FREAKIN' EPIC, as well as being EASIER—One flat in C. Enjoy! If a note must be made: if you like traditional keys, C Minor is your bet. If you like better sounding, but a bit different and situationally harder based on your band's training, D Minor is yours.
You can find both versions here. Many thanks, Dimondium!
