I think the base chords are wrong, i think its D, G, F and Am on the 5th fret bar chord, it sounds right, i found it out by ear before i found this site, just sayying... Use it if you wish
ReplyDelete@rs-fdpw I agree, there should be an F in there, and I think the A chord sounds nice both ways. I'll make the changes now. Thanks for the help!
ReplyDeleteThe chord at "add a teaspoon" sounds way better as an A chord. The one at "and you never"...I'm not sure, but G sounds a bit weird there too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mike. IMO, "add a teaspoon" should be A and "and you never" should be E. The notes that are in the song correspond to the notes in those chords, so it makes sense to me.
ReplyDeleteLove this site!
Thanks Mike and sidnoea! I agree that sounds better, and I'll make the changes now. I really appreciate the help.
ReplyDeleteKeep rockin'!
I noticed on another website that the lyrics of the last line of the second verse was "And you never get your fill of" I'm not sure which is correct.
ReplyDeleteAlso the final D chord sounds incorrect to me. But I wouldn't know. xD
Hey Jepp! You're right, "fill of" makes much more sense than "fill-a." I'll go ahead and fix that now.
ReplyDeleteI believe that D chord is correct; it returns the song back to the tonic. It might sound a little weird, though, because Pinkie's vocal line jumps up an octave. If you want to try preserving that sound, you might try playing the chord an octave up (via a barre chord if you're using a guitar). All of this being said, I am more than happy to change the chord if it turns out to be wrong!
As always, thanks again for your comments, my friend!
Hm, I think the A chords, sound better as Am.
ReplyDeleteWell that's on the Ukulele anyway (Which I'm fairly certain is the instrument that was originally used). But everything else is great! Thanks!
@Sherbnyan
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip. People should definitely give it a try!
^Sounds like a mandolin to me, rather than a ukulele. I personally think it sounds better with an A, but I might be biased because it's significantly easier to play than the Am!
ReplyDeleteOn my ukulele, I find the regular A chord sounds better, in my opinion. The Am sounds a bit too... minor.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing this and it sounds better to me, but YMMV:
